WWE Hall Of Famer Dubs Randy Orton “Most Underrated Ever”

Randy Orton

A WWE Hall of Famer thinks Randy Orton is one of the greats.

After making his in-ring debut much later than his contemporaries, Diamond Dallas Page became one of the most popular stars in WCW history. This eventually saw him win the World Championship three times before the company was purchased by WWE.

Page’s run to the top of WCW was powered by the Diamond Cutter — a move later adopted by Randy Orton and named the RKO.

In the years since his own career ended, Page has often spoken in glowing terms about Orton, and he remains convinced of his greatness.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the star said Orton might be the most underrated wrestler in history.

Randy, a lot of people have heard me talk about him. One of my favorites, one of my favorites of all time. I think the most underrated guy maybe ever in our business. Because even though he’s seen here, he could be on Mount Rushmore.

I mean, he’s had everything, and he’s still got the look and the size and the rap and the work and the promo. I mean, again, he’s a guy who’s gotten all the breaks and freaking kicked their asses. The Legend Killer, but hasn’t killed me yet [laughs].

Randy Orton Still Absent

On the November 8th episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens hit Randy Orton with a devastating Piledriver, taking him out of action.

The pair had been at war for several weeks, with a match at Crown Jewel being called off before it even began as they got into a brawl. Owens has been a man on a mission since attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking lot following Bad Blood, and Orton was just another victim.

Following the attack, Orton was taken out of the arena on a stretcher.

In the days after the show, WWE noted that Orton had been diagnosed with “cervical cord neurapraxia.”
