WWE Hall Of Famer Not Happy With Bronson Reed’s Cage Dive

Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed suffered at WarGames after his splash from the cage went horribly wrong but one WWE Hall of Famer has little sympathy.

At Survivor Series, The OG Bloodline teamed with CM Punk to defeat Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline in WarGames. Solo Sikoa looked to have found the upper hand as he recruited Big Bronson Reed as his fifth man before Paul Heyman returned to WWE with CM Punk to join Roman Reigns’ squad.

During WarGames, Bronson Reed looked to put Roman Reigns out of action by delivering a massive Tsunami from the top of the cage to a prone Reigns who was laid out on a table. However, CM Punk put his issues with the OTC to the side and saved Reigns from disaster as Reed crashed and burned.

Reigns picked up the victory for his team but it looks like Bronson Reed is facing a heavy price for his exertions. Bronson Reed will undergo surgery after a suspected broken ankle that will see him miss significant time from the ring.

But it seems one WWE Hall of Famer does not have much sympathy for the star.

Rikishi Wishes Bronson Reed Rehearsed Big Cage Splash

Speaking on his Off the Top podcast, Rikishi – someone who is no stranger to jumping off the top of a cage – questioned Bronson Reed’s approach to his big WarGames moment and suggested he went about the move all wrong:

That was kinda awkward to see. After watching the repeat slow motion of the video, you can tell that his weight – when he landed – and he basically just kinda jumped from the top and landed on both – you know – both ankles.

The technique of that for a big man is, you know, what I was taught from Jimmy — Uncle Jimmy ‘Superfly’ — how to splash. […] It would’ve been nice for Bronson to try that on a crash pad before, because that’s a big moment, a huge moment.

As a result of the big star’s injuries, WWE has been forced to scrap plans for Bronson Reed as the company is forced to move on without him for the time being.
