WWE Hall Of Famer Suggests Dominik Mysterio Change His Name

A WWE Hall of Famer believes that Dominik Mysterio should change his last name.

At WWE Survivor Series in San Diego, Dominik Mysterio beat John Cena to become a 2-time Intercontinental Champion thanks to some help from his friends.

In what was Cena’s final PLE match, Domink got some help from Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez until they got kicked out of the ringside area and then Finn Balor & JD McDonagh tried to help Dom, but Cena took care of them. That’s when Liv Morgan made her return to WWE after more than five months away due to a shoulder injury.

Thanks to Liv kicking Cena in the groin and hitting Cena with the IC Title, Dominik was able to hit a 619 and a Frog Splash to win the title for the second time.

It was over five years ago when Dominik Mysterio made his WWE debut as a wrestler, and he was quickly aligned with his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. About two years later, Dominik turned heel to join The Judgment Day and has been insulting his “deadbeat dad,” Rey, ever since.

Dominik Mysterio Should Embrace The Guerrero Name

During the Rey Mysterio-Eddie Guerrero feud in 2005, there was a storyline where Eddie Guerrero fathered a son, and Rey and his wife Angie raised that boy. That boy was Dominik, who was about eight years old at the time. In reality, Rey really is Dom’s dad, but in WWE storyline land, Eddie is his blood father. That’s why Dominik does the Three Amigos suplexes that Eddie did, and it’s why Dom has a mustache as Eddie had.

WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) spoke on Busted Open Radio about how he thinks Dominik needs to ditch the Mysterio name and perhaps use Guerrero as a last name to become Dominik Guerrero.

“Dom is the future in big, big ways. It’s just a matter of if and when he drops the Mysterio name, legally. [He] just either drops the Mysterio name altogether or legally changes his last name to Guerrero.” (H/T Wrestlinginc)

After his victory over Cena, Dominik Mysterio claimed that he won “as clean as possible,” which is a lie to anybody who watched the match, but it’s not a lie to Dominik Mysterio…or Guerrero.
