WWE Giving Becky Lynch Space After Exit
Becky Lynch is no longer part of WWE and as retirement rumours grow, the latest on her future from WWE’s point of view has been revealed.
On June 1st, Becky Lynch’s WWE contract expired, leaving her a free agent for the first time in over a decade. Rather than pursuing a deal with another company such as AEW, Lynch reportedly intends to take a lengthy hiatus from wrestling. WWE is said to be confident about working with The Man again if she decides to return to the ring.
Becky Lynch worried fans recently as she hinted at retirement as speculation about her future in the wrestling business continues to swirl.
Is Becky Lynch Really Retired?
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp gave an update on Lynch’s status noting that WWE sources have not been informed if Becky Lynch has decided she is officially retired. There was doubt over her announcing such a monumental decision on social media – although that is famously how Vince McMahon announced his first retirement in July 2022.
However, it was also acknowledged that Lynch would not have to inform WWE if she had decided to retire as she is not under any contract with the company.
WWE sources have stressed they are being respectful of Becky Lynch’s space during this time after her efforts for the company over the years. There was a belief when Lynch’s contract expired from both her and WWE that she would be back in the company when the time was right.
