WWE Gives Nod To AEW With New Trademark

Tony Khan AEW Triple H WWE

Some claim a new WWE trademark was inspired by AEW.

On the December 12th episode of NXT, Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Damon Kemp confronted new North American Champion Dragon Lee. During the face-to-face, Lee agreed to put his title on the line against a member of the group, although his opponent remains a mystery.

During the segment, the group was referred to as the “No Quarter Catch Crew,” and now WWE has filed a trademark for the phrase “No Quarter Catch Club.”

Fans have been quick to point out that the name has a similar connotation to AEW’s Blackpool Combat Club, which was founded by William Regal, who is now back with WWE. The NXT faction also includes Regal’s son who competes as Charlie Dempsey.

You can find details of the trademark below.
