WWE Fires More Employees
WWE has swung the axe again behind the scenes with several corporate employees let go by the company.
Just days after the Endeavor takeover of WWE was completed in September, the company laid off over 100 backstage employees.
Since then, cuts have come to the roster as well with stars such as Matt Riddle, Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, and several others let go.
On the 1st of December NXT broadcaster McKenzie Mitchell confirmed she had been released by WWE and now Wrestlenomics has reported that more cuts have taken place behind the scenes.
WWE Makes Senior Vice President Cuts
In this latest round of cuts, several people at the Senior Vice President level have been let go. Michael Weitz, SVP of Financial Planning, Craig Stimmel, Head of Global Sales & Partnerships, Karen Mullane, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer, Stewart Frey, SVP of Streaming Technology, and Matt Geyer, SVP of Gaming have all been released from their roles.
The report also noted that WWE’s parent company TKO is anticipating making savings of $50 – $100 million because of the merger. It is unknown if more cuts are to come.
