WWE Figures Pushing For Creative Change For LA Knight

Change could be on the horizon for LA Knight.

After somewhat stumbling onto the main roster as Max Dupri — the non-wrestling manager of Maximum Male Models — LA Knight was finally allowed to show what he could do in early 2023.

Although he was initially low on notable wins, fans quickly took the star to their hearts, and within months, he was one of the most popular stars in the company. Impressively, this has continued well into 2025 despite largely remaining out of the World Championship picture.

LA Knight Potentially On The Move

Throughout his career on the main roster, Knight has been tied to SmackDown, but it seems that might be changing.

According to a new report via Wrestle Votes Radio, some people backstage have been pushing for the star to be moved to Monday Night Raw.

“According to those within the company, we are told more than a handful of people are advocating for LA Knight to be moved to the Raw brand in the near future, as his presence on Netflix could be viewed as something of a refreshing change.

In his time with WWE, Knight has wrestled just two Raw matches in total, those being in February of 2024 versus Ivar in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match and March of 2023 versus Cody Rhodes. LA Knight has been signed with the company since February of 2021 and has two Raw matches under his belt. He’s been appearing on Raw over the last two weeks, very, very briefly.

However, there are more than a handful of people like we just said that want to see him on Monday Night Raw each and every week.”

It was recently reported that the 2025 WWE Draft will likely take place in early September, but definitely after SummerSlam in order to wrap up several major storylines. If Knight does end up making a permanent move to the red brand, there’s no word on whether it will be immediate or tied into the Draft.
