WWE Figure On Rise Within Company
A prominent WWE figure is back in the company’s good books.
Back in January, Corey Graves publicly called out WWE after he was moved from SmackDown to NXT, after Joe Tessitore was shuffled over from Raw to make way for Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.
The commentator subsequently missed a TV taping, and his future appeared to be in doubt. However, Graves later returned to the NXT commentary desk and opened the show by saying he was “right where he needs to be.”
Details on the spat were kept private outside of the initial outburst, but Michael Cole later admitted it was a “strange situation.”
Corey Graves “Well Received On WWE Raw Return
On June 16, Corey Graves made his return to the announce desk on Monday Night Raw alongside Michael Cole, with Pat McAfee missing the show. Following the show, Graves was quickly praised by fans on social media as he slotted effortlessly back into his previous role on the main roster.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the issues between Graves and WWE earlier in the year have been “all but forgotten,” and everyone is keen to keep moving forward. Johnson added that Graves was ‘well received” following his return to Raw.
The report comes after it was revealed that Corey Graves earned plenty of praise backstage for his performance at Worlds Collide alongside Konnan.
