A WWE star turned heads during Worlds Collide.

At WWE x AAA Worlds Collide on June 7, El Hijo del Vikingo overcame Chad Gable in a stunning main event to retain the Mega Championship. There were also wins for Lola Vice & Stephanie Vaquer, Ethan Page, and Legdao Del Fantasma.

Meanwhile, in the opening match of the night, Mr. Iguana stole fans’ hearts, with WWE now trying to make the most of the moment.

English language commentary duties were handled by Corey Graves and Konnan, with the former earning praise for his performance.

As reported by Fightful Select, Corey Graves earned plenty of praise backstage for his work during the show. Fightful added that Graves’ brother, Sam Adonis, still occasionally works for AAA on a freelance basis.

Corey Graves Clashed With WWE

Graves has come a long way since he very publicly clashed with WWE back in January.

After being removed from SmackDown and back to NXT to make way for Joe Tessitore, who was shuffled over from Raw, Graves called out the company on social media, writing that he was no longer famous enough to do his own job. He quickly added that he had “a lot to say” about the issue on NXT, but missed the subsequent taping.

However, Graves subsequently returned to the NXT commentary desk and opened the show by saying he was “right where he needs to be.”

Details on the spat were kept private outside of the initial outburst, but Michael Cole later admitted it was a “strange situation.”
