WWE Figure Deletes Series Of Controversial Social Media Posts
A WWE announcer has deleted their criticism of the company but remains absent from television.
On January 13th, Corey Graves publicly called out WWE for dropping him from SmackDown. After appearing on the blue brand on January 3rd, Graves appeared on NXT four days later but was missing from the most recent edition of Smackdown.
In the rant, Graves said he was no longer famous enough to do his own job, seemingly in response to Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett becoming the commentary team on SmackDown with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee being installed on Raw.
The announcer was subsequently pulled from the January 13th edition of NXT, despite posting that he had a lot to say on the show.
Corey Graves Deletes WWE Criticism
Following his absence from NXT, Graves has now deleted the social media posts that seemingly landed him in hot water. There’s no word on whether he was told to remove these by the company or decided to do so of his own accord.
Interestingly, Graves has also missed the January 15th edition of WWE Speed, where Chad Gable took on Charlie Dempsey. Instead, it was Blake Howard calling the action. The episode was taped on January 10th.
In the wake of the controversy, former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman told Corey Graves to embrace whatever role he’s given. ‘The Coach’ cited the career of legendary commentator Jim Ross who was dropped by the company on several occasions.
