WWE Figure Backs Ricochet’s AEW Switch

Ricochet

Ricochet will have a stellar career in AEW.

At All In, Ricochet made a surprise appearance in the Casino Gauntlet Match eventually won by Christian Cage. The bout was packed full of surprises with Nigel McGuinness making his return to the ring to the delight of the Wembley crowd.

The move came after the star left WWE in July after letting his contract expire.

It’s believed the former WWE Intercontinental Champion has signed a “multi-year” deal with his new employer.

Meanwhile, it’s been announced that the star will be in action on the August 28th episode of Dynamite where he’ll face Kyle Fletcher.

Booker T Tips Ricochet To Find Success

While some in WWE might not have been too happy to see Ricochet leave, NXT announcer Booker T took a different view.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker suggested the high-flyer would be a better fit in AEW after experiencing everything the WWE system has to offer.

“I’m glad to see Ricochet have a soft landing, kid could work man, he’s definitely an extraordinary talent. He’s definitely a next level talent.

I just feel like he fits a whole lot better in an AEW like system better than WWE’s system, but he got a chance to do the WWE thing and that’s the one thing a lot of guys wonder about in the business that haven’t gotten to do the WWE thing … he’s got a chance to experience that kind of stuff several times, so for him to actually move to the next level, it’s not as hard at all because now for him it’s all about getting paid, going out and having some good matches and having hopefully a stellar career.”
