WWE Fans Urged To Take A Stand Against Company After Goldberg’s Return

Goldberg returned to WWE this week on RAW.

In doing so, he confronted the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, whom he will now face at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

In November last year, it was confirmed that the WWE Hall of Famer would wrestle in his retirement match in 2025.

His last appearance as a performer was during the 2022 Elimination Chamber against Roman Reigns, which he lost.

Goldberg, however, was at the 2024 Bad Blood PLE, wherein he first locked eyes with Gunther, saying he was next.

While fans are excited to see the 58-year-old wrestle for one last time, they are unhappy that the match will be contested for the title.

One of the wrestling personalities to voice his opinion was former tag team champion Bully Ray.

While co-hosting the recent Busted Open Radio episode, Bully said the title being added to the mix defies logic, and it was up to the fans to oppose the angle.

You know how certain politicians get voted into office, and they consistently do a bad job, but yet, every voting cycle that comes up, the people continue to vote this politician back into office?

That’s what’s going on here. Until the WWE Universe decides that they hate this, and walk away from the product and stop investing their time and money in the product, and I’m not suggesting that fans stop investing time and money in the product because of this, nothing will change.

Goldberg Knows Who He Is Up Against At SNME

After WWE made the match official for SNME, the Ring General took to social media to poke fun at the veteran.

Goldberg recently spoke on The National Football Show and acknowledged Gunther as a formidable opponent.

Who I am to him (GUNTHER) is an old man – is a 58-year-old guy who is hobbled and not like he used to be and he believes that even at my peak, he could have taken me which is absolutely laughable. But, I mean… he’s a formidable opponent. He’s the World Heavyweight Champion.

The former champion also understands the risks to his health and legacy going into this fight.
