WWE Fans Launch Into Anti-Swerve Strickland Chants At NXT Taping

AEW star Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland isn’t popular with some NXT fans.

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Swerve Strickland addressed his WWE exit and took a shot at Booker T in the process. The WWE Hall of Famer had previously suggested he’d been treated fairly, but Strickland stated “That’s not what happened when Vince [McMahon] said the n-word in front of you.”

Since then, Strickland and Booker have been trading barbs, with the WWE Hall of Famer telling the AEW star he got played. Although fans expected the animosity to slowly calm down, Strickland said it was “F*ck Booker” during his post-Dynasty promo to the crowd.

In response, Booker T said the former World Champion had made a mistake by taking the conversation away from AEW’s latest pay-per-view and putting on their very public spat.

NXT Fans Have No Love For Swerve Strickland

Fan footage has now emerged online of fans chanting “F*ck You Swerve” and “All Hail King Booker” during the April 8 edition of NXT. In the background of the video, Booker can be seen laughing at the commentary desk.

On the show, it was announced that Stephanie Vaquer will defend the NXT Women’s Title at Stand & Deliver. After a match between Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker ended with Vaquer getting involved in the action, Giulia made her return to television.

The former champion helped Vaquer clear the ring before taking her out with a headbutt and Northern Lights Bomb. Later in the show, Vaquer demanded to face all three women at Stand & Deliver.
