WWE Extremely Concerned About Top Star
There is growing concern backstage about one of WWE’s biggest stars.
Charlotte Flair was pulled from scheduled appearances at WWE live events after suffering an injury on SmackDown. Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted that while there’s no concrete update on Flair’s condition, some within WWE are “extremely concerned” that her knee injury could be serious.
In recent weeks the star has joined the fight against Damage CTRL, teaming with Becky Lynch, Shotzi, and Bianca Belair to defeat the group inside WarGames at Survivor Series.
How Did WWE Star Charlotte Flair Get Injured?
On the December 8th episode of SmackDown, Flair took on Asuka in a battle of former Women’s Champions. However, things went off the rails during the commercial break. As the pair battled on top turnbuckle, Flair slipped and got her leg caught in the ropes, as well as hitting her head hard on the mat.
Notably, the incident wasn’t shown on television, although Charlotte Flair did finish the match. After Asuka picked up the win, Flair was helped backstage by officials and appeared to be in a great deal of pain.
