WWE Expects Becky Lynch Return
Becky Lynch isn’t expected to join AEW.
After failing to regain the Women’s World Championship in a match against Liv Morgan on the May 27th episode of Raw, Becky Lynch disappeared from television. At the time, it was no secret Lynch’s contract was ending and she decided to take a break.
However, instead of putting the speculation about her future to bed, Lynch went on hiatus without signing a new contract.
This sparked month’s worth of rumours about what might come next, but it seems the star is in no rush to make a comeback.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Lynch’s situation remains unchanged. While both the star and WWE expect her to eventually return to the sports entertainment giant she’s enjoying her time off, and the WWE is “trying to respect that.”
It’s previously been noted that when Lynch does return, she’ll become the highest-paid female star in the world.
Becky Lynch To Address Future
The update comes after it was announced Becky Lynch will appear at the Vulture Festival on November 17th in Hollywood, California. The press release noted that Lynch will be appearing to discuss her book, and even teased that she could give an insight into her future.
“WWE Superstar, trailblazer, and New York Times best-selling author Rebecca Quin will join us for a conversation about her recent memoir Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl.
We’ll look back on her legendary career — from her early days grinding on the road to being in the first ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania — and just maybe get a glimpse at what The Man has in store for us next.”
Despite her free agent status, it’s been reported by Becky Lynch has remained on WWE’s internal roster, offering another hint that the company expects her to stay. Some have suggested this shows she may have already reached an agreement with management.
