WWE Expected To Sign Current Champion In 2026
Triple H may welcome a reigning champion to WWE in the new year.
Leon Slater made his wrestling debut only three years ago. He has since competed in multiple promotions, including Revolution Pro Wrestling, Game Changing Wrestling, and Progress Wrestling.
In 2023, the 21-year-old signed a contract with TNA. Earlier this year, the young performer captured his first-ever title in the promotion, defeating Moose for the TNA X Division Championship at Slammiversary. He recently surpassed 160 days as champion.
Will Leon Slater Join WWE In 2026?
Leon Slater made several appearances on NXT in 2025. John Cena even selected him to team up with Je’Von Evan to challenge for the World Tag Team Title on the Leader of the Cenation’s final show, Saturday Night’s Main Event. Although he and his partner failed to capture the title, the TNA X Division Champion is also now booked to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil on January 6.
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicted that the young TNA star will officially sign with the Stamford-based company in the new year.
