Ex-Champion Allegedly Has Backstage Heat In WWE
Karrion Kross’ career progression in WWE is a mystery.
And it may be due to him receiving backstage heat, as per former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, who appears alongside Jonathan Coachman on The Last Word podcast. He said:
Coach, you know what the problem is? The problem is, is that he is more creative than the top head content guy, and it’s jealousy. He is more creative than everybody there.
Kross has had limited in-ring appearances, his latest coming on the May 12 episode of WWE Main Event, where he won against Tyler Bate. Kross has also appeared in only two main roster matches in 2025.
Coachman kicked off the discussion by talking about a video Kross, whose real name is Kevin Kesar, uploaded on X announcing his shirts being available in the arena.
“The Coach”, looking frustrated, sympathized with Kross, stating that his merchandise sold in WWE arenas should be a given considering the talent he brings to the table.
Also on the panel was Gaby LaSpisa, who appeared equally irate at the treatment handed out to Kross by the red brand, said that he wasn’t being given the opportunity he deserved. She also challenged the brand to put Kross in front of the audience and let them decide his fate.
Shocking Claims About Karrion Kross Revealed By Former WWE Talent
Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, Shotzi, was all praises for Kross on a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast.
She said how the 33-year-old was taking matters into his own hands as far as cutting promos and making his presence felt on social media went.
I’m glad that he’s not waiting for WWE to let him show it. He’s taking it into his own hands. Like he’s hiring all of these people to put these productions together because he’s like, ‘Well, if they’re not going to do it, I’m gonna do it myself.’
Shotzi also called Kross an inspiration.
2025 is a pivotal year for Karrion Kross, with his contract with WWE being in its final year.
