WWE Employees Upset About Policy Change

A change has been made by TKO that has left many WWE employees angry.

It was nearly two years ago, in September 2023, when WWE was officially sold to Endeavor, which subsequently formed the TKO Group by merging WWE with UFC. The deal was initially reported in January 2023, but it took several months to become official.

Since then, TKO has moulded WWE to their liking, which has also led to many employees being let go because TKO wants people to work with both fighting brands, along with the PBR bull riding brand.

Another change has been made, with PWInsider reporting that WWE employees were informed in a memo that a new severance policy will be in place, effective immediately.

The old severance policy used to be that employees would receive one month of severance for every year of service. That has been changed because they’ll “honor a TKO policy of two weeks worth of severance pay for every year an employee worked for the company.”

According to PWInsider, there will also be caps on the policy based on a person’s management level.

This news was considered a “major blow to company morale” for employees because many of them have responsibilities in WWE, UFC, and PBR. Previously, many of them were just working WWE jobs when Vince McMahon was running the company, but now there’s more to do with TKO.

Many WWE Employees Are Frustrated By The Severance Changes

The report from PWInsider was confirmed by Fightful Select, who reported that the reaction within TKO was one of disgust. They noted that many employees with less than five years of employment are especially frustrated.

There is also a fear within TKO that this could lead to potential cuts within the company. That’s just speculation at this point.
