WWE’s Drew McIntyre Gives Expletive-Filled Apology To CM Punk
Drew McIntyre has given a unique apology to CM Punk.
After months of antagonism throughout 2024, Drew McIntyre finally got his hands on CM Punk at SummerSlam and defeated the Straight Edge Superstar in his first singles match at a PLE in over a decade. Unfortunately, that marked the Scottish Psychopath’s high point in a feud that lasted for several months and saw Punk defeat McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin before following up with a decisive victory inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood in October.
Since his losses to Punk, it has been clear that McIntyre still hasn’t let go of his resentment of the Voice of the Voiceless. Still, in an upcoming episode of Hot Ones Versus (via SI.com), Sheamus gave the star a chance to put the past behind him and apologise for “all the pain and suffering” he put Punk through. McIntyre obliged, although it wasn’t the most sincere apology he might have given.
“Punk, I’m so sorry that I raised your profile and helped erase a massive amount of negative publicity you had. I lifted you up constantly and earned you the biggest contract of your entire life, you f***ing p***k.”
Unsurprisingly, Sheamus didn’t think the apology was good enough and forced McIntyre to eat a spicy buffalo wing. At the same time, the Scottish Warrior protested that he had made Punk “millions of dollars.”
Drew McIntyre Wants To End John Cena’s WWE Career
Drew McIntyre wants to be the last man John Cena faces in WWE. The star believes there is a lot of potential for him to tell stories with Cena, and promised he has “some interesting things to say” when he gets the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with the 16-time World Champion on the microphone. McIntyre also pointed out that he has never gone one-on-one with Cena, and refuses to let him “retire and disappear into the night” before he gets that chance.
