WWE Director Suggests Raw On Netflix Will Become More Addicting

WWE CM Punk Go To Sleep

A WWE Director is assuring fans of the company that Raw on Netflix will be an addictive show.

There was a lot of star power on the debut episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix with legendary names like The Rock, John Cena, Triple H, The Undertaker, and even Hulk Hogan, who was booed loudly by the fans in Los Angeles.

In the ring, Rhea Ripley regained the Women’s World Title from longtime rival Liv Morgan while Roman Reigns beat his Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match to become the Tribal Chief again. The Rock even reappeared to present Reigns with the coveted Ula Fala necklace to wear with pride.

The main event of Raw was a grudge match that saw CM Punk beat Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a close matchup that could have gone either way. Punk hit his patented Go To Sleep (GTS) finisher twice to get the big win.

Rob Fee is WWE’s Director of Character Development who plays a major part of the team that crafts together storylines on a team led by Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Fee gave his thoughts on the show in an interview with Netflix’s website.

“There were huge moments. John Cena announcing he’s going to be in the Royal Rumble. Logan Paul saying he’s a full-time WWE Superstar now. Roman Reigns is getting all the power back — where does that leave him? So many big things are happening now and on the way.

It really feels like it’s going to be appointment TV for the world, which is unbelievable. I think it’s a complete game-changer. “

“It’s Going To Get More Addicting From Here” – WWE’s Rob Fee

There is no doubt that WWE being on a platform like Netflix, which has 280 million worldwide subscribers, could lead to an even bigger boom for the compnay moving forward.

When consumers watch shows on Netflix and other streaming devices, they like shows that keep you coming back for more. Fee thinks that WWE programming will become an addiction for the audience that wants to see what happens next.

“Over the next several weeks, months, and years, you’re going to see stories from the beginning — how they start building, how these relationships play out, how superstars interact, and you’ll get invested in these stories. The nuance is captivating [and] there’s so much attention to detail. If you enjoyed tonight, you’re in for a treat, because it’s only going to get more addicting from here.”

Raw is aired worldwide on Netflix, including in the United States. In addition to Raw, international WWE fans get to watch other programming like NXT, Smackdown and the company’s Premium Live Events on Netflix as well. The next WWE PLE is the Royal Rumble on February 1st in Indianapolis.
