WWE Star To Dethrone CM Punk Then Fight Brock Lesnar In Wild Scenario

CM Punk is set to put his title on the line on the first Raw of 2026.

The Second City Saint won the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event in November after beating Jey Uso in a singles match.

He will defend his title against Bron Breakker on Monday, January 5, 2026, on the first episode of Raw of the new year, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This will mark his first title defense since winning it.

Bron Breakker pinned CM Punk at the men’s WarGames match and then started targeting him for the title.

So far, we’ve seen Bron destroy Punk verbally on the mic and also inside the ring when he speared the champ out of nowhere twice in the last couple of weeks.

Sam Roberts stated on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that WWE might carry this momentum and make Bron the champion on January 5.

This would then give WWE an opportunity to set up Breakker in a dream match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 42.

I also think that you could have Braun beat Punk and do Braun Breaker versus Roman Reigns, but Bron Breaker versus Brock Lesnar would be great, too. (From 1:00:17 to 1:00:23)

DDP Wants Bron Breakker To Become The WWE World Heavyweight Champion

In a new interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, DDP said that he would like to see Bron Breakker become the World Heavyweight Champion.

I would love to see that. I haven’t talked to him probably in about a month or two, but humble, feet on the ground, and you got to know who you are.

You don’t forget that, but you want to always try to keep your feet on the ground, because that’s the guys who continue to excel.

You don’t want to be too much of a headache. And we know part of stories about guys that I won’t mention, that I’ve been a bit ahead of a headache to work with.
