WWE Hall Of Famer Defends Logan Paul Against Critics

Logan Paul

A WWE Hall of Famer thinks some of the heat that Logan Paul receives from the pro wrestling community is unwarranted.

Logan Paul lost the WWE United States Title to LA Knight at SummerSlam in early August. While Paul held the title for an impressive 273 days, Paul only successfully defended the championship two times, which is not so impressive.

Kevin Nash is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who recently blasted Paul for not knowing wrestling terms like “shoot,” which means a real fight. Nash was angry about Paul making “five million bucks” to wrestle only a few times a year and how he got to practice matches for a few weeks before stepping into the ring.

That led to Paul firing back at Nash by calling him one of the “bitter old guys” among other things.

Rikishi is also a WWE Hall of Famer and he made it clear on his Off The Top podcast that he doesn’t have a problem with Paul’s success. Rikishi also referenced Paul’s successful Prime energy drink business, which sees WWE using Prime bottles at ringside every week and a Prime logo in the ring on PLE shows.

“I’m saying hate the game, don’t hate the player. If he got five mil, it’s called negotiations. That means whatever negotiations, because last I knew, all I see is PRIME around that ring. It’s called negotiations. Hate the game, not the player.”

“Big up to [Logan] Paul if that’s what he did. If you’re making that type of money, I don’t give a damn about being one of the boys then. You got your bag. If you’re one of the boys, is your bag gonna be bigger? Because I guarantee not a damn one of the boys gives a damn about your bag that you’re making.”

“They ain’t gonna tell you what they’re making. So hey, hate the game, not the player because that boy [Logan] Paul is a hustler, he’s one hell of an athlete, and if he’s not a full-time wrestler, f**k yeah. Good for him. Don’t hate the player, hate the game, man. That’s what it is.”

Logan Paul And Kevin Nash Should Make Up According To Rikishi

As Rikishi continued, he continued to praise Paul for getting an incredible contract with WWE while also suggesting that Paul and Nash settle this issue.

“The bag is the bag. Ain’t that what we all in it for? Obviously, [Logan] had to be a huge fan of WWE. Anybody that’s a fan of wrestling, you dream to get an opportunity to get into WWE. If you’re not, then why are you in this business? But to be able to come in and have access, opportunity, exposure and get his brand out there, half-time, not a full-time, and making five million dollars, come on, man.”

“Somebody got a good negotiation team. Amen to that. Come on, now. Kevin Nash, Logan Paul, y’all make up. Time is too short.”

Since Logan Paul lost at SummerSlam, he hasn’t been present on WWE television. Paul and his fiancee Nina Agdal are having a baby this fall, so that could be why he’s been off WWE television for so long.
