WWE Debut Finally Confirmed For Significant Tag Team

Triple H WWE

A major debut has been teased for WWE SmackDown with fans now knowing when a new tag team is set to make their long-awaited appearance in the company.

In recent weeks it’s been reported that WWE is currently negotiating with at least 15 Superstars regarding new contracts. The news came after it was revealed that Kevin Owens is currently in talks over a new deal having recently stated negotiations were yet to start.

But that hasn’t stopped the company from looking to broaden its talent base by bringing in names from outside the company. And on the 4th of October edition of SmackDown, the first tease that a major tag team was heading to WWE aired.

A vignette aired showing two shadowy figures mixed in with footage of Detroit and fast cars synonymous with the Motor City, heralding the arrival of The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

MCMG Coming To WWE SmackDown

Now on SmackDown in Greenville, another vignette aired which this time featured the initials “MCMG” confirming they will be on the 18th of October edition of SmackDown.

That vignette aired after SmackDown GM Nick Aldis told Los Garza they would have a tag team match on that show against a team of his choosing and that if the duo picked up a win they’d catapult themselves into contention for a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship currently held by The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

Fightful Select noted that there remains uncertainty over whether or not Sabin and Shelley will use the full Motor City Machine Guns name but it seems “MCMG” will at least be some part of their presentation in the company.
