WWE Debut Forced To Bask In The Shadow Of Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace entrance on WWE NXT

A WWE Hall of Famer would have handled appearances by Ethan Page and Jordynne Grace differently.

On the May 28th episode of NXT, fans were left stunned by a surprise appearance from TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. The star will now go on to face Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground on June 9th.

Later in the show, Ethan Page made his WWE debut by attacking Trick Williams.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said he would have debuted Page via a vignette before following up on the next episode.

“I’m not a fan of the way they debuted Ethan Page last night, first he got lost in the sauce of Jordynne Grace. There’s no doubt, you could say whatever you want, Jordynne is the story from last night, so he’s gonna bask in the shadow of Jordynne today, we’ll see what happens as far as Ethan Page is concerned.

I think he’s been off people’s radar long enough that could just debut him the way he did, he was debuted as a big deal, I don’t consider Page a big deal. I don’t know if he’s going to be a big deal. I would’ve went the opposite direction, I would’ve debuted him in a little bit more of a traditional way, be a vignette, be a something, next week will be an interesting follow up.”

Jordynne Grace Making “Six Figures” For WWE Appearances

Following her confrontation with Roxanne Perez, it was reported that Jordynne Grace will be paid “six figures” for three WWE appearances. This includes her NXT debut on May 28th and upcoming matches against Stevie Turner and Perez.

Grace made her WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble, spending 20 minutes in the women’s Rumble match before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.
