WWE Cut Ties With Hall Of Famer’s School After Sickening Incident

Rikishi WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE has cut ties with one promotion after a sickening incident that has left the entire pro wrestling world united in outrage.

During a KnokX Pro event on August 23, Raja Jackson jumped into the ring after Stuart Smith, performing as Syko Stu, had competed in a match.

Jackson stormed the ring from where he’d been sitting at ringside. Jackson took out Stu with a version of a double-legged takedown, which appeared to knock him out. With Stu down, Jackson adopted a mount position and delivered a series of punches with the former unable to defend himself.

It was subsequently reported that Stu had sustained serious injuries, while Rampage Jackson condemned his son’s actions. Rampage noted in a statement that Stu was “awake and stable.” The angle had been planned and agreed upon in advance, but Jackson took matters into his own hands with an almost tragic outcome.

KnokX Pro issued a statement condemning the “irresponsible act of violence”, but it now seems the promotion has suffered serious consequences as well.

WWE Pulls Accreditation From Rikishi’s School

KnokX Pro is owned by WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi – although he is not believed to have been at the show – and is a WWE ID-affiliated wrestling school. However, that has apparently now changed.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has cut ties with the promotion and the wrestling school, pulling them from the WWE ID program:

Obviously, WWE has contacted them. They’re no longer affiliated with them. They couldn’t be, there’s no way WWE could stay affiliated with them. So they’ve cut all ties, they’ve had to remain this WWE accreditation from the school and all their social media. WWE has not made a statement on this, they’re just very quietly distancing themselves from this.
