Another WWE Crossover Event Planned Before End Of 2025

WWE has more plans for AAA.

AAA Triplemania XXXIII is set to take place on August 16 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

Unsurprisingly, the event is set to have a heavy WWE presence with several talents from the sports entertainment giant involved in championship matches up and down the card.

In the main event, Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano will challenge El Hijo del Vikingo for the Mega Championship. Meanwhile, Natalya will challenge for the Reina de Reinas Championship.

There has even been talk that Dominik Mysterio could become the face of the entire promotion.

WWE Planning Joint Show

Off the back of the deal between WWE and AAA being announced, a cross-promotional event was quickly planned, and Worlds Collide took place on June 7, during Money In The Bank weekend. The event was warmly received by fans and critics alike, with the main event between Chad Gable and Vikingo grabbing the headlines.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that plans are underway for another event featuring AAA in the United States.

“There are plans right now for another AAA show in the U.S. before the end of the year.”

There’s no word on when or where the event will take place. Another show, such as Worlds Collide, would only add to growing speculation that WWE is planning to use AAA as part of its developmental system.

The report comes after it was claimed that WWE is planning to redesign the AAA logo. According to the report, the new logo would have a “fresh, modern look,” and represent its new identity as part of the TKO Group.

The logo isn’t expected to feature at Triplemania, but will likely debut before the end of the year.

Interestingly, following Worlds Collide, it was claimed that The Undertaker had been backstage at the event, helping put the show together. This sparked a series of reports suggesting that the legend could be looking to land a job in creative.
