WWE Creative Feel They’ve “Stumbled Onto Something Big”
A certain moment on WWE Raw turned heads backstage.
On the October 21st episode of Raw, the drama around The Bloodline continued as Jey Uso put his newly-won Intercontinental Title on the line against Bron Breakker.
During the match, Jacob Fatu flattened Uso with a huge Samoan Drop on the announce table. Breakker then threw Uso back in the ring and hit him with a Spear to regain the title he’d lost just weeks earlier.
Just before this exchange, there was a spine-tingling staredown between Fatu and Breakker as the crowd exploded.
Excitement Is Growing Backstage In WWE
Following reports that WWE was pleasantly surprised with how the crowd reacted to the face-off between Fatu and Breakker, it seems the creative cogs already turning.
According to a report on WrestleVotes Radio via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, the creative team hasn’t got any immediate plans for the pair to meet in the ring, but there’s a feeling they’ve “stumbled onto something big.”
“We’re told there was heavy, heavy internal praise on how well this came off, especially reaction from the live crowd in Philadelphia. We were told that numerous people backstage enjoyed it and were almost stunned by how big of a reaction these two men got.
We can say that there is nothing in the short-term plan between the two right now, but the feeling is creative that they certainly stumbled onto something big.”
Despite his head-turning start to life with WWE, Jacob Fatu has only wrestled in tag team action to date. However, following Raw he was pinned by Cody Rhodes in a Philly Street Fight dark match. The match and result will likely never be mentioned on TV.
