WWE Creative Working On Plans For Brock Lesnar At Major Events
Brock Lesnar looks set for a major WWE role in 2026.
At Wrestlepalooza, Brock Lesnar made his in-ring return and destroyed John Cena, much to the annoyance of a large group of fans online and Cena’s dad.
Tracing the pattern of their famous encounters of years gone by, Lesnar battered Cena with several suplexes before getting the win after six F-5s. After the match, Lesnar returned to the ring to deliver another F-5, while also taking out the referee.
Following that destruction of Cena at Wrestlepalooza, it was revealed that Brock Lesnar is being advertised for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas in 2026. Lesnar features in a new promotional graphic alongside the likes of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Rhea Ripley.
According to a new report via Wrestle Votes Radio, Lesnar is also scheduled to appear at the 2026 Royal Rumble. The report added that creative is working under the assumption that Lesnar will work both the Rumble and WrestleMania in 2026.
Brock Lesnar Sticking With WWE
In the weeks leading up to Wrestlepalooza, it was reported that Brock Lesnar had signed a new contract with WWE. There had previously been claims that Lesnar was fully paid and under contract between SummerSlam 2023 and SummerSlam 2025, despite not featuring on television.
In reality, Lesnar became a free agent during this period, and it was several months before he penned his latest deal. The agreement was reached ahead of his shock SummerSlam comeback.
There had been plans for Lesnar to come back in early 2024, but those plans were scrapped after his name appeared in Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.
