WWE Expected To Continue PLE Trend In Triple H Era
A trend has developed for WWE PLEs with Triple H running the show and there are no immediate plans for changes.
At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, several people, including Stephanie McMahon spoke about how it is now the “Triple H Era” of WWE since Paul Levesque is running the show creatively as the company’s Chief Content Officer.
There have been a lot of changes in WWE with Triple H running the show such as the talent being signed, released and those receiving pushes that may not have got the same chances in the past when it was former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon calling the shots.
When it comes to WWE’s Premium Live Events, something that fans have noticed is that for the shows that aren’t the major ones like WrestleMania and SummerSlam, nearly all of them have just five matches on the card.
Some fans might think five matches are too few, but Triple H doesn’t feel that way because the Bash in Berlin currently sits at five matches just like Clash at the Castle, Money in the Bank, Backlash France, and others this year.
According to Fightful Select, WWE plans to continue running PLE shows with five matches. There are people within WWE who believe that the format has worked for them while also allowing the company to put some bigger matches on Raw and Smackdown. That has been useful especially when Smackdown takes place in the same city as the Saturday PLE show, which is the case for Bash in Berlin this weekend as well.
The five match cards are something that Triple H likes since that’s the format he used for NXT Takeover events throughout the 2010s with five matches taking place on most of those shows.
WWE And Triple H Bringing Raw To Saudi Arabia
The country of Saudi Arabia has hosted many WWE PLE shows going back to 2018 and they will do so again on November 2nd when Crown Jewel takes place in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to that, WWE will also tape the November 4th edition of Raw on November 3rd, which means that Raw will take place from Saudi Arabia for the first time ever. Earlier this year, Smackdown took place from Saudio on May 24th, which was one day before the King and Queen of the Ring PLE took place.
