WWE Confirms Two Huge WrestleMania Matches
The road to WrestleMania is in full swing and following Elimination Chamber it seems WWE has two more matches on the slate for the huge April event.
WrestleMania 40’s card became a lot clearer after the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. Becky Lynch won the women’s Elimination Chamber to book a Women’s World Championship match on the grandest stage of them all. The main event confirmed that Lynch would challenge Rhea Ripley for that gold after Ripley defeated Nia Jax.
Drew McIntyre will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning the men’s Elimination Chamber and it’s that match that has set up two more massive matches for WrestleMania.
WWE Confirms More WrestleMania Bouts
The men’s Chamber match saw AJ Styles make a shocking run-in to carry out a vicious attack on LA Knight. Later in the bout, Randy Orton took out Logan Paul with an RKO to eliminate the US Champion but Paul fired back after his loss, taking out Orton with his brass knucks allowing McIntyre to pick up the win.
Writing in his Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted those four stars are on the slate internally to have two big matches at WrestleMania, although the announcement has not been made public:
Coming off the Chamber show, those at WWE have confirmed both bouts, AJ Styles vs. LA Knight and Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton, that yesterday’s show appeared to set up. Both are right now listed for Mania.
Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship for the second year in a row at WrestleMania 40 while women’s Royal Rumble winner Bayley will challenge IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Title.
