WWE Confirms Injury To Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins is out of action.
On the August 5th episode of Raw, Seth Rollins and CM Punk came to face as the rivalry between the pair continues. However, they were soon interrupted by Drew McIntyre who appeared in the crowd to taunt Punk with the bracelet he stole at SummerSlam.
At the sight of yet more disrespect, Punk took off in pursuit of McIntyre, leaving Rollins in the ring. Not that he was on his own for long.
Bronson Reed has made no secret of his frustration in recent weeks and decided it was time to make a point.
Reed demolished Rollins, hitting him with a Death Valley Driver and a senton then six Tsunamis leaving him laid out and spitting up blood.
In a new video on social media, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Rollins suffered “several cracked ribs and internal bruising” in the attack. Pearce also confirmed that Reed had been fined for his actions.
Our medical staff has informed me that Seth Rollins has suffered several cracked ribs and internal bruising, and as such will be out of action for an unspecified period of time.
Seth Rollins Dealing With Legitimate Injury
Although the broken ribs are part of the storyline, the former World Champion is legitimately injured. According to a recent report, Seth Rollins is dealing with “chronic” issues, although he is cleared to wrestle should he want or need to.
Rollins took two months off following WrestleMania 40 to undergo surgery to deal with a knee injury suffered back in January. In order to make the showpiece event Rollins spent several weeks out of the ring, although he continued to appear on television.
