WWE Champion Cody Rhodes To Appear On Popular ESPN Show
Cody Rhodes is bringing the Undisputed WWE Title for an appearance on ESPN College Gameday.
It was announced by WWE on their website that Smackdown’s Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be appearing as a guest picker on the ESPN College Gameday show. Pat McAfee, who also works for WWE as an announcer, is one of the co-hosts of the show.
As WWE fans know, Cody Rhodes is from the Atlanta area and he’s a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs college football team. Cody will be going to Athens, Georgia for this week’s ESPN College Gameday show.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will appear on ESPN’s College Gameday on Saturday, Nov. 16 as the Celebrity Guest Picker.
A native Georgian and avid Bulldogs fan, Rhodes will join ESPN’s Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Desmond Howard, and WWE commentator Pat McAfee ahead of No. 12 Georgia’s tilt against the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers.
The American Nightmare joins Sheamus as WWE Superstars to appear on College Gameday as Celebrity Guest Pickers this season. Don’t miss Rhodes on College Gameday starting at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT on ESPN and ESPN U this Saturday.
On Instagram, Cody Rhodes posted a video message talking about his support for the Georgia Bulldogs, who have become a college football powerhouse in recent years.
Cody Rhodes Expected To Face Former Friend Kevin Owens At Major WWE Television Show
After holding the WWE Championship for over 200+ days, Cody Rhodes has taken on all comers and has also been turned on by one of his best friends, Kevin Owens, who was jealous of Cody’s success.
Those issues between Cody and Kevin are expected to be resolved at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show on December 14th. That’s according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
We’ve been told the Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens match is slated as the main event for Saturday Night’s Main Event on 12/14 from the Nassau Coliseum, so at least as of earlier this week wasn’t slated on this show.
Kevin Owens is currently feuding with Randy Orton, which should lead to a match at Survivor Series. As for Cody Rhodes, he’s not currently scheduled for the show although there are still two weeks to go until the show arrives.
