Cody Rhodes was off WWE TV for over a month after Drew McIntyre took him out with a dropkick outside the ring.

The WWE Champion issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre on SmackDown itself.

WWE confirms Cody Rhodes’ SmackDown appearance

On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, the global juggernaut finally made the match official for Wrestlepalooza.

Furthermore, WWE confirmed that The American Nightmare will be present on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown, which is also the go-home show ahead of Wrestlepalooza.

Fans can expect Drew McIntyre to be present on the go-home episode as well, and if WWE wants to make the match interesting, a stipulation could be added to the match as well.

The Scottish Warrior has already sent a warning to the WWE Champion ahead of their clash at the premium live event.

He took to social media to point out the difference between The Rock and his demands.

The Rock wants Cody’s soul. I want his ass.

Apart from Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre has his eyes on John Cena as well. In fact, he has claimed that he would like to be the one to put The Champ into retirement in December 2025.
