WWE Announces Cody Rhodes Segment For June 5th Raw

A Cody Rhodes segment has been advertised for the June 5th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

This past Monday on the May 29th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes appeared with his left arm in a cast. That’s because he has a storyline “partially broken” left arm injury sustained against Brock Lesnar coming out of their Night of Champions match last week.

During that promo on Raw, Cody Rhodes issued an open challenge to Lesnar since they have each won one match against the other and Cody wants another shot at The Beast. As Cody noted, Lesnar might be on vacation now, so perhaps that rematch will wait until SummerSlam in August or later this year.

Despite the “broken arm” storyline, Cody Rhodes still appeared in a dark match after Smackdown on Friday to beat The Miz. Cody is also in action at a live event tonight and Sunday before heading to Hartford for Raw.

For Monday’s Raw on June 5th, WWE is advertising Cody for an appearance on the Miz TV talk show hosted by The Miz. It’s possible that this could lead to some sort of match for Cody at Money in the Bank since he’s not currently advertised for a match.

There will also be a World Heavyweight Title match on Raw with Seth “Freakin” Rollins defending his newly won title against Damian Priest. The match was set up due to Rollins issuing an open challenge that Priest accepted. It will be Seth’s first title defense on television since winning the new World Heavyweight Title last weekend at Night of Champions.

The advertised lineup for the June 5th Raw in Hartford so far looks like this:

World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (champion) vs. Damian Priest

Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match: Becky Lynch vs. Sonya Deville

Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match: Zoey Stark vs. Natalya
