WWE’s CM Punk Planning To Write A Book
CM Punk has revealed that he plans to write a book about his incredible life in the world of pro wrestling.
For the past 30 years, CM Punk has been living his dream as a pro wrestler. That dream started as a teenager wrestling in backyards with his friends and now it has taken him to the Royal Rumble in front of 60,000+ fans in Indianapolis.
There was a seven-year period from early 2014 to the summer of 2021 when Punk wasn’t involved with pro wrestling, but his return to the business he loved has shown he is as popular as ever.
CM Punk is a popular pick to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match even though he’s 46 years old, which means he’s likely going to be one of the oldest people in the match.
If Punk wins the Royal Rumble then that means he would be in a WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. While Punk has done a lot in his incredible career, he hasn’t won a Rumble or headlined WrestleMania, so this year could be when he does both of those things.
CM Punk Will Write A Book About His Life And Career
As a man who has been known as the “Voice of the Voiceless” and the “Best in the World,” CM Punk has never been shy about speaking his mind.
During an interview with WWE’s Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show, the former WWE Champion Punk revealed that he has plans to write a book. He didn’t say when, but he sounded excited about it.
“I’m going to write a book someday. I don’t know when. I’m just going to tell the story. In 93, I started rolling around in backyards with my friends.”
When asked if he wrestled on trampolines, Punk said no to that.
“No, we weren’t that smart. We also weren’t that rich. We had no trampoline. We just used the ground, and one year, we borrowed some materials from various construction sites in and around the Chicagoland area and built a ring. In 97, I think we bought a wrestling ring. Bought an old wrestling ring from some guy in Texas and started running shows.
We were very outlaw. Around 98-99, there was a wrestling school. ‘Oh, you actually have to learn how to do this? Interesting.’ It was shocking to me. It’s not like there is a pro wrestling program in school. There is football, there is wrestling and all kinds of sports. The rest is history. They beat the crap out of me for being a backyard kid, and I earned my stripes.”
Even though he wasn’t advertised, CM Punk confronted Kevin Owens on SmackDown to let Owens know that if he was the WWE Champion then Punk was coming for him at WrestleMania 41. Punk did the same thing to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on Raw this week as well.
