WWE’s Plans for CM Punk, Jey Uso, & LA Knight Potentially Revealed
On the October 6, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, CM Punk made a return, kicking off with a promo expressing gratitude toward the WWE Universe and highlighting the upcoming Crown Jewel event.
LA Knight interrupted, sparking a heated verbal confrontation where both men claimed they were the rightful contenders for the World Heavyweight Championship. The tension escalated when Jey Uso entered, asserting his claim to a rematch and getting mocked by LA Knight, who insulted his family, leading to Jimmy Uso’s involvement.
The hostilities quickly turned physical, Jey delivered a superkick to Knight, while Punk shoved Jey and punched him, prompting Jimmy Uso to retaliate with a superkick to Punk. This altercation set the stage for a tag team match later in the night: CM Punk and LA Knight versus Jey and Jimmy Uso.
Despite some lack of coordination, Punk and Knight won after Punk hit his finishing move, the GTS, on Jey Uso. But LA Knight tagged himself in and stole the pinfall, sealing the victory.
CM Punk, Jey Uso, & LA Knight Will Challenge Seth Rollins For The World Heavyweight Championship
Given what transpired on Monday night, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez believe WWE is setting up a storyline where the fans will see CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight challenge Seth Rollins for his title. Either the three will wrestle for the number one contender’s spot or all of them will simultaneously face The Visionary in a fatal-four way match for the gold.
Dave Meltzer: They all got storyline reasons. LA Knight’s the last one to beat Seth. Jey never got a rematch after he lost the title. And Punk’s been feuding with Seth all year. He beat him at WrestlePalooza and on the first Netflix show.
Bryan Alvarez: Yeah, I mean they could do the three-way—Punk, Jey, and LA Knight—and the winner gets the shot at Seth. But really, the way they’ve been building this up, all three of them should be getting a shot against Seth.”
Meltzer: They have to do probably like a… it’s another multi-person match.”
Alvarez: It’s a four-way feud with four babyfaces who are all assholes. It is certainly different.
Meltzer: They don’t believe in clean babyfaces anymore. Punk, LA Knight, Jey—they all have to have an edge or they don’t work in this era.
