WWE Clear Last Ditch Hurdles For WrestleMania 42 Deal

Triple H WWE WrestleMania press conference

WWE have changed their mind on WrestleMania 42, and now it looks like the final hurdles have been overcome to reach a deal on its new location.

The Rock announced in February that WrestleMania 42 would be held in New Orleans in April 2026. But just three months later, WWE decided to take a different approach.

Despite rumours that WWE could take its showpiece event to Mexico, Saudi Arabia, or London, England, it was soon reported that the company had decided to take WrestleMania 42 away from New Orleans and, instead, go to Las Vegas for the second year in a row.

Triple H seemed to confirm that move as he announced New Orleans would host WrestleMania in the future and that the Big Easy would be the home to Money In The Bank in August 2026.

Las Vegas Helping WWE With Last WrestleMania Efforts

Las Vegas has not officially been announced by WWE as the host for WrestleMania 42, but that could be one step closer to happening. The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez has reported that WWE has cleared some final hurdles and Sin City is making a lot of concessions to appease the sports entertainment giant:

Vegas very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year. There were a few hurdles to be cleared and several were this morning. Vegas is making a lot of concessions to clear the way for them.

There was no confirmation on what these hurdles were, but it is believed a concert set to take place at Allegiant Stadium could give WWE a headache with set up time and there is also less convention space available as another event is already booked into the Las Vegas Convention Center around the time WrestleMania will likely take place.
