WWE May Be Making Change to Raw Start Time
WWE Raw airs live every Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
This prime-time slot has been its tradition since the show’s inception in 1993, making Monday nights synonymous with the Stamford-based promotion for decades. The show typically lasts two hours, though from 2012 to 2024 it ran for three hours before reverting to two hours in late 2024.
WWE is expected to shift Raw’s start time to 7 p.m. ET beginning in September 2025, one hour earlier than the usual 8 p.m.. The company has advertised 1-hour earlier than usual local start times for the upcoming three Monday Night Raw shows in September (September 15, 22, 29).
This change might be to avoid direct competition with the NFL’s Monday Night Football, which begins at 8:15 p.m. ET every week. Starting earlier gives Raw a head start and potentially retains viewers who might otherwise switch to football during overlap.
Local event listings confirm doors open as early as 6:30 p.m., strongly suggesting that WWE Raw’s broadcast will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET this fall. WWE has yet to make an official statement on whether this change is permanent or seasonal. The earlier start is seen as a strategic move to boost viewership and reduce direct ratings competition with the NFL.
Naomi Announces Pregnancy on WWE Raw
Last week, Naomi was booked in a singles match against IYO Sky. But WWE announced that she wasn’t medically cleared to compete before her match. The exact medical reason was kept confidential, and event organizers had to quickly substitute another match, with Roxanne Perez versus SKY.
This sudden cancellation raised speculation about her being pregnant, but no details surfaced at the time. The Women’s World Champion returned to Raw this week and delivered an emotional promo, confirming she is pregnant with her first child with husband Jimmy Uso.
She appeared on stage with her title belt, referenced her recent championship victory, and played a video message from her interview on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, announcing the news to fans. The Glow stated she would not relinquish her championship voluntarily, promising a comeback after maternity leave to reclaim her position.
