WWE Champion Credits Wrestling For Saving Their Life
One current WWE champion has credited pro wrestling for saving their life.
Since joining WWE in 2024, Giulia has been on nothing but an upward trajectory in the company. The Japanese-Italian star had made a name for herself in Stardom and became only the second woman to hold the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion when she defeated AEW’s Willow Nightingale for the gold in 2023.
In WWE, The Beautiful Madness captured the NXT Women’s Championship only four months after debuting for the brand. She lost that gold to Stephanie Vaquer in a huge double title match just two months later, but that paved the way for her to move up to the WWE main roster.
One month after making her SmackDown debut, her ascent continued as she captured the WWE Women’s US Championship from Zelina Vega. She’s also formed an alliance with Kiana James, as she’s proven there’s no length she won’t go to keep hold of her gold.
Giulia Grateful For Wrestling Career & WWE Fans
Taking to social media, Giulia reflected on the eighth anniversary of her wrestling career beginning and said the sport saved her when her life was going nowhere:
8 years since I first stepped into the ring… Wrestling saved me when my life was going nowhere. I’m still on my journey… there’s so much more to do, and I’ll keep climbing higher‼︎ I love wrestling with all my heart. Every step, every challenge, every cheer and even every boo I’m grateful for it all‼︎
