WWE NXT hosted the second week of its 2025 Gold Rush tonight, following last week’s exhilarating action. The first week of the two-part television special saw some incredible matches, while the show ended on a shocking note.

A title was defended in every match last week, and while the champions retained their titles in three of the four matches, Tatum Paxley lost her NXT Women’s Championship to Jacy Jayne after being betrayed by Izzi Dame and the rest of The Culling.

In addition to the matches, Ava Raine also revealed that John Cena would choose all the competitors who will compete in the Iron Survivor match at NXT Deadline next month. He is slated to make the announcement later tonight.

The second night of NXT Gold Rush 2025 started with a match for the WWE Evolve Championship as Jackson Drake defended the title against Sean Legacy to get the ball rolling.

The recently introduced WWE Evolve Championship has been around the waist of Jackson Drake ever since the fatal-four-way elimination match to decide the inaugural champion.

The Vanity Project member has held the title for 173 days now and put the title on the line against the man he last eliminated to win the championship, Sean Legacy, to kick start week two of NXT Gold Rush.

Legacy got the crowd involved on multiple occasions with his high flying moveset and also took care of Drake’s Vanity Project members but the champion proved too much for him.

While both wrestlers were evenly matched for much of the match, Jackson Drake came away with the win after hitting Legacy with a running knee to the face after hitting him with a gutbuster, to extend his title reign.
