WWE Champion Heartbreakingly Relinquishes Title Due To Injury

One WWE champion has been forced to give up their title due to injury.

After reaching new heights in his career at Crown Jewel, where he defeated Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins was on top of the world. However, on the following episode of Raw, that world came crashing down around him.

As Rollins stood tall with The Vision, Bron Breakker shockingly speared him. Breakker then told Bronson Reed to make his decision, and he did, hitting a huge Tsunami on Rollins. Perhaps the biggest shock of all came when Paul Heyman raised Breakker and Reed’s hands, indicating he had abandoned Rollins as well.

One week later, Seth Rollins was stripped of his World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. While this injury was being put down to The Vision on TV, the reality is that Rollins is believed to have severely hurt his shoulder during a match.

And now another champion has suffered a similar fate.

Sol Ruca Vacates WWE Title

Sol Ruca was forced to miss Halloween Havoc due to an injury, but instead of giving up the NXT Women’s North American Championship, her partner Zaria took her place. However, Zaria was not able to come out on top as Blake Monroe won the first WWE championship of her career.

Now, on the October 28th edition of NXT, Ava gave Sol Ruca the chance to decide what to do with her WWE Speed Championship. Ava told Ruca she could have someone defend that gold for her, or she could relinquish it. Ruca decided to vacate the gold, causing Zaria to storm off, hinting at trouble between the two partners.
