WWE Champion Interested In TNA Appearance

A current champion in WWE has expressed an interest in competing in a TNA ring again.

Chelsea Green is on the greatest run of her career as the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion.

At WWE SmackDown in Portland, Chelsea Green successfully defended the Women’s US Title against Michin in a match where Green used underhanded tactics to get the win. After Michin jumped off the top rope with a cross body block, Green rolled through and grabbed the tights of Michin for the pinfall win.

The referee never saw Green grab the tights, but it shows that Green will do anything she can to hold onto her title. After the match, Michin tried to attack Green, but Green’s friend Piper Niven beat up Michin before that could happen.

Before succeeding in WWE, Green had a lot of success in TNA Wrestling as a former Knockouts Champion and Knockouts Tag Team Champion. Before using her own name in TNA, she also had a run where she was known as the unique Laurel Van Ness character.

Chelsea Green Wants TNA Return As A WWE Superstar

There was an interesting development in pro wrestling in 2024 because it was the first time that WWE interacted with TNA Wrestling, which included talent exchanges. There were TNA stars like Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace competing for titles in NXT while several NXT performers like Sol Ruca and Tatum Paxley competed at TNA shows.

Since the TNA doors are open for WWE superstars, Chelsea Green told Casual Conversations with The Classic that she is interested in competing for some TNA gold again.

“I already had texted Tommy Dreamer when they first, when Jordyn Grace first surprised me at the Royal Rumble, and what she didn’t tell me, she was going to be in it. The night before, I texted Tommy, I said, okay, bet there’s a partnership? Bring me in. Bring me and P [Piper Niven] in to go for the Knockouts Tag Team titles. Tommy Dreamer, if you’re listening, I’m waiting.”

Tommy Dreamer is a former WWE superstar who works behind the scenes for TNA Wrestling as part of their creative and production team. Fans of WWE and TNA will have to keep watching to see if there will be more crossovers between the two companies.
