WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Starring On Iconic UK Show

Cody Rhodes might be on the injured list in WWE after a vicious attack but he’s still set to appear on an iconic British show on New Year’s Day.

After Cody Rhodes teamed up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood, Kevin Owens attacked The American Nightmare in the parking lot and the rivalry has only increased in intensity. This all led to a match between the pair at the rebooted Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The match reached its controversial conclusion when Kevin Owens pushed Rhodes into the referee knocking them down. Owens then hit a Stunner, which led to a second referee running in, but the champion kicked out. Rhodes began to fight back but accidentally hit the second referee, leaving them on the canvas as well.

Owens grabbed a chair and returned to the ring but Rhodes dodged a wild swing before connecting with a Cody Cutter. Rhodes then hit a Cross Rhodes on the chair before throwing it from the ring and pinning Owens to retain the title.

After the match, Kevin Owens dropped Cody Rhodes with a package piledriver leaving him lying in the ring before he was taken out of the arena on a stretcher. Backstage Kevin Owens ended up in a shoving match with Triple H who was less than happy at what took place.

Cody Rhodes Reading A Bedtime Story

WWE has since given a medical update on Cody Rhodes and while it remains unknown when he’ll be back in the ring, Rhodes will be making a special appearance on New Year’s Day.

Cody Rhodes will be featured on CBeebies Bedtime Stories on January 1 2025 where he will read Gigantic by Rob Biddulph to help the UK’s infants drift gently off to sleep. Idris Elba, Justin Fletcher, Mo Gilligan, Perrie, Kylie, and James Norton will all be reading stories over the holiday season on the show that airs at 6.50 pm every weekday.
