WWE CCO Triple H Says NXT Star “Changed The Business”

Triple H sees huge potential in NXT star Sol Ruca.

Ruca was part of the Saturday Night’s Main Event match card. She faced Bayley in a singles match and secured a huge victory over the female WWE veteran.

During the SNME post-show panel, Triple H was asked about Ruca’s performance and overall growth in WWE. Praising Ruca, the WWE Chief Content Officer replied:

There are levels of athleticism, there’s levels of athleticism that you see in Sol (Ruca)… Just a whole ‘nother level.

You see people that come into an industry and in a moment when you see them, you think, wow, they just changed the business. Sol Ruca just changed the business. [H/T Fightful]

Ruca signed with WWE in March 2022. In just three years, she has proven that she is highly talented and deserves a spot on the main roster among the top talents in the company.

How Did Sol Ruca End Up In WWE?

Speaking to Bully Ray on the Busted Open After Dark in May 2025, Sol Ruca revealed that she had no idea about WWE.

A WWE recruiter approached her with an offer, and she joined out of curiosity. But now she loves the sport and wishes she’d become a part of the business sooner.

I have, like, zero pro wrestling background… I honestly like being here now. I wish I would’ve known about it sooner because I think I would’ve been like, ‘This is what I wanna do.’

At the time, I was living in Hawaii. I was doing social media full-time, with personal training.

I was working with brands, I was – like – posting flips and tricks on the beach, that was kinda, like, my niche – like – little content that I would post, and I would get sponsored by brands.

Got the DM, and I was like: I don’t know about this… Is this like UFC? – I thought it was, like, the same thing – I don’t know how to fight? I don’t want to do that!

And I, like, Googled, like, ‘former gymnast’ – like, someone who had the same background as me – and saw Kacy Catanzaro – Katana Chance – and I was like ‘Okay! Like, this is sick! Like, I’ll give it a try!’ It’s a free trip to Florida, like, might as well do it! If I don’t make it, it’s a hell of a story to tell people! H/T WrestlingInc
