WWE CCO Triple H Legitimately Conspired Against John Cena?
John Cena retired at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
Many people were dissatisfied with how WWE and Triple H booked Cena’s retirement match. They had him lose his final WWE match to Gunther via tap-out. Plus, there was no retirement speech from Cena afterwards.
Just like the WWE Universe, Vince Russo and Jonathan Coachman were also not happy with the send-off The Never Seen 17 received at Washington, D.C.
Speaking on the new episode of the Coach and Bro Show, Russo criticized Triple H for poorly booking John Cena in his last two WWE matches.
He accused the WWE Chief Creative Officer of conspiring against The Last Real Champion and devaluing his legendary career by burying him in the last two matches.
Russo said:
You beat him twice on the way out. You’re purposely burying him. I don’t care what anybody says. Triple H should not be in that spot. Former wrestlers should not be bookers because of situations like this.
Because, Triple H wants his legacy to be greater than John Cena’s. So in Triple H’s mind, yeah, bro, they’re going to remember the two losses on the way out. That’s what they’re going to remember. (From 22:18 to 22:40)
Jonathan Coachman Accuses Triple H of Disrespecting John Cena
In the same episode, Jonathan Coachman scrutinized Hunter for disrespecting John Cena by not giving him the farewell he deserved.
Coachman said:
The career that he (John Cena) had, 23 years, and what they gave us on screen was Mark Henry, Sami Zayn, Eve Torres, Trish Stratus, Haku, and then behind all of them, oh, by the way, just the guy who’s a Hall of Famer, just the guy who had his first match.
Why would you not give him a pre-tape in the show, Kurt Angle? They used him for nothing. Yeah. And that that was that’s what that’s who you invited. You have Cody Rhodess saying, “Well, they asked me if I’d be involved.”
They asked Cody, “Hey, will you wrestle?” He’s like, “This is the last match. Are you kidding me?” And Cody said, “Vince, a lot of guys, they act like it’s asking too much to do an extra show.”
I’m like, “Yeah, I agree with that too, Cody.” Vince, it’s almost like they were openly just disrespecting John and he’s such a nice guy, they knew he would never say anything. (From 20:12)
