WWE Caused AEW Policy Change

Tony Khan AEW Dynasty

AEW is trying to keep things top secret.

Traditionally, AEW has announced its pay-per-views and biggest TV specials well in advance. However, in 2025 that has appeared to change.

At present, the company has only confirmed Revolution on March 9, Dynasty on April 6, and All In Texas on July 12. Forbidden Door will also be heading to London in August, but a venue for the event has yet to be announced.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that because of WWE countering previous events, AEW is trying to keep its upcoming schedule a secret.

One of the reasons AEW PPV dates aren’t being announced well in advance is because of WWE countering Worlds End and All In Texas, as well as other shows. The stuff is being kept top secret and even those internally don’t know of dates and stuff after April.

Former AEW Stars Heading To WWE

Meltzer also reiterated his earlier report that WWE creative is expecting Malakai Black to re-join the company. He added that there have also been discussions around Miro, who was recently released from his deal alongside Black and Ricky Starks.

Just hours after news of his All Elite departure broke, Starks signed with WWE and made his debut in NXT.

Meanwhile, a different report has claimed that Rey Fenix is in talks with Tony Khan about his own AEW exit. It’s believed that a resolution is expected soon after Khan was told by those close to him to “put an end to this.”
