WWE’s Bronson Reed Headed For Surgery
Bronson Reed will need surgery after a massive leap during the WWE WarGames match.
The Men’s WarGames match main evented Survivor Series with Bronson Reed taking part in what was arguably the most memorable moment of the match.
After Reed had beaten up Roman Reigns, he put Reigns on a table. Instead of going to the top rope for his Tsunami splash through a table, Reed climbed to the top of the cage. Reed stood on a platform that was about 15 feet high and jumped off, but CM Punk was there to pull his WarGames ally Reigns off the table. That sent Reed crashing through the table.
Since Punk was there to save Reigns, the team of Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn & CM Punk was able to finish off Solo Sikoa to win the match. Reigns pinned Sikoa after a Spear.
Unfortunately for Reed, he suffered injuries to his feet/ankles after hitting the Tsunami splash.
Bronson Reed Needs Surgery
It has been reported by PWInsider that Bronson Reed will have surgery next week for his ankle/foot injury that he suffered at WWE Survivor Series. The specifics of what kind of surgery and the potential length of time away aren’t known at this time, but more details could come out after the surgery.
Since his August attack on Seth Rollins that saw him deliver multiple Tsunami splashes, Reed has been pushed strongly on the Raw brand.
The injury to Reed reportedly led to WWE bringing back Drew McIntyre on Raw earlier than expected. McIntyre ended Raw with a Claymore Kick on Sami Zayn. Jey Uso was also the victim of a dreaded “mystery attack” that could have been caused by McIntyre as well.
During the WWE post-holiday live events in late December, Reed was scheduled to face Rollins in steel cage matches at those shows. Since Reed is out with an injury, those matches will be changed.
As for his thoughts on the injury inside WarGames, Bronson Reed posted this message on social media earlier this week: “Injuries are temporary. Moments are forever.”
Everybody here at TJRWrestling wishes Bronson Reed all the best as he recovers from his injuries. We look forward to his in-ring return soon.
