WWE Bringing SmackDown To The UK
WWE has announced the location of SmackDown on the night before the company brings Money In The Bank to the UK for the very first time.
WWE brought their first premium live event in 30 years to the UK when Clash at the Castle emanated from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales in September 2022. That event saw Roman Reigns cling on to his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Drew McIntyre thanks to Solo Sikoa.
Back in January, the company announced that for the first time ever Money In The Bank would be crossing the pond, with the event being held in The O2 Arena in London, England on Saturday, the 1st of July.
Now WWE has issued a press release touting the fact that SmackDown on the 30th of June will also emanate from the same venue. It is also noted that this is the first time in history that SmackDown will air live at 8 pm local time (3 pm ET) in the UK with fans normally having to stay up well into the early hours to watch the show.
Ticket information for the two shows is also contained in the release and is as follows:
“WWE and O2 presales for combo tickets will be available on Wednesday, February 22 at 12pm GMT at Ticketmaster.co.uk and AXS.com. Fans can register now to receive an exclusive presale offer by visiting https://www.wwe.com/mitb2023-presale-registration.
