WWE Bringing Hall Of Famer In For Royal Rumble
The Royal Rumble is just around the corner and it seems WWE is working hard to bring in at least one surprise name for the show.
Nia Jax was the first female star to show her interest in being part of the Royal Rumble after she lost her WWE Women’s Championship to Tiffany Stratton.
Since then stars such as Bayley, Naomi, and Bianca Belair have all entered the match with Charlotte Flair also confirming her WWE return in the match.
But it seems WWE might have a surprise or two up its sleeve as well.
WWE In Talks With Trish Stratus
Speaking on the Backstage Pass Q&A, WrestleVotes reported that WWE is bringing Trish Stratus to Indianapolis for the Royal Rumble but it’s not certain whether or not she’ll be part of the Rumble match itself:
I know it’s been discussed. I know she will be in Indianapolis, I know WWE is bringing her in. I don’t know specifically if it is for a Rumble appearance but I know it’s been discussed.
There’s only so many women’s legends they can call on, especially those that can still do it, and she’s one of them. So if she’s willing and they’re willing, I’d say better than a good shot she’s there.
Trish Stratus has only been part of one Royal Rumble during her career. Stratus was the 30th entrant in the inaugural women’s Royal Rumble in 2018 where she claimed three eliminations before being thrown over the top rope by Sasha Banks.
