WWE Bringing Back Popular Gimmick Match
WWE is bringing back a popular stipulation.
For the November 6th edition of NXT, the brand landed in the famous ECW Arena and paid homage to the brand that helped change wrestling in North America. The show featured appearances from the likes of Dawn Marie, Rob Van Dam, and Nunzio, as Bubba Ray Dudley returned to a WWE ring for the first time since 2016.
During the show, it was announced that NXT Deadline will be returning on December 7th, with the Premium Live Event coming live from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
It was also confirmed that the Iron Survivor Challenge will return, with the winners of the match earning a shot at the NXT and NXT Women’s Titles.
WWE Celebrating NXT Ratings Success
On Wednesday, November 6th, NXT went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite to avoid a clash with the US election. But despite the switch, it was WWE left celebrating as AEW suffered another defeat.
As noted by Programming Insider, NXT drew an average of 619,000 viewers, scoring a 0.17 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic. By contrast, AEW Dynamite pulled in 523,000 viewers with a 0.16 rating in the key demographic.
The rating for NXT represents an increase from 588,000 viewers the previous week, while the Dynamite viewership was down from 628,000.
NXT has now beaten Dynamite in the last three head-to-heads.
